§ 1.Core Philosophy: Zero Server File Retention
At PDF Language Translator (pdflanguagetranslator.com), we treat data confidentiality as an architectural requirement rather than a policy promise. We do not store, retain, index, replicate, or archive any PDF documents or text content you submit for translation on our servers or persistent disks.
When you upload a document to our workbench, it exists exclusively in the volatile memory (RAM) of your web browser and the ephemeral serverless execution runtime for the duration of the translation request. Once the response payload is returned, memory buffers are immediately purged.
§ 2.How Document Processing Works (Client-First Architecture)
Our translation pipeline uses a privacy-preserving division of labor between your local device and the AI translation engine:
- Local In-Browser Parsing: When you drag and drop a PDF into the dropzone, the binary PDF file is ingested and parsed locally within your web browser using client-side JavaScript (Mozilla PDF.js). The binary PDF is never sent to our servers.
- Encrypted Text Transmission: Only the extracted text runs necessary for linguistic translation are transmitted over 256-bit TLS 1.3 encrypted HTTPS connections to the translation endpoint.
- Immediate Disposal: Once the translated output reaches your browser workbench, the server buffer is destroyed. Closing the browser tab or refreshing the page immediately clears all document data from your device's memory.
§ 3.No AI Model Training on Your Content
We explicitly utilize Google Gemini enterprise developer endpoints governed by commercial data protection terms. Your documents, paragraphs, and translated text are NEVER used to train, retrain, fine-tune, or improve public artificial intelligence models.
Confidential financial filings, legal contracts, patent applications, and medical records remain strictly private to you.
§ 4.Anonymous Access & Zero Identity Profiling
PDF Language Translator is open to all users worldwide without requiring:
- No user account registration or login.
- No email collection or phone number verification.
- No credit card, payment details, or billing profiles.
- No cross-site tracking beacons, advertising cookies, or behavioral profiling trackers.
§ 6.Global Regulatory Alignment (GDPR, CCPA & DPDPA)
Our zero-storage design inherently complies with major international privacy frameworks:
- EU GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation): We act solely as a conduit processor. Because we do not store personal data, the Right to Erasure (Article 17) and Right of Access (Article 15) are satisfied by immediate memory flushing.
- California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA): We do not sell or share personal consumer information under any circumstances.
- India Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDPA 2023): Processing is performed strictly with voluntary document submission and without cross-border archiving.
